A: We have used it all round on wooden doors and works fine

**Q: Could this be used as a bumper for kitchen floor plinths to prevent damage from vacuum cleaners, mops etc**
A: I would think that the item is not wide enough and not robust enough for a 'bumper'. It squashes very easily!
