If you use that as a baseline you'll find these pages to be not only less see-through but also harder to accidentally bend or rip. Anticipate just a little bit of ghosting with pens and markers. - Size: It's no taller or wider than a tablet/e-reader, and is a comfortable size to fit in even small bags. Still has plenty of writing area on the page. There's also enough pages to know that I don't need to ration them to make sure I can fit in a whole year - Plain design: Colors and designs are fun sure, but my notebook spends 99% of its life either shoved in a bag or laying open; I also don't really *want* my personal journal to be a "conversation starter". The cover is sturdy, and that fits my needsSome reviewer mentioned that the dots are darker than most, and I agree with that - it's up to you to decide if that's bothersome. Darker dots were a feature for me.
