## Overview

The ObsidianWire Vintage Plus for Strat® harness upgrades the classic 1954 Stratocaster wiring with a solderless design, 250k CTS pots, a 5-way switch, and a treble bleed circuit. It preserves vintage tone while adding modern playability and tonal flexibility, making it ideal for working musicians seeking authentic sound with hassle-free installation.

## Description

The Traditional Vintage harness is all about retaining the heritage and sound of the 1954 Stratocaster. The 'Plus', comes from the simple tweaks that ObsidianWire has made to the circuit, to make those Traditional Vintage sounds more useable, and more accessible for the working musician. The first tweak to the 1954 is perhaps the most obvious and probably expected addition of a 5 way switch rather than the old 3 way. Artists have been using the in-between settings of the three way for near on half a century and the 5 way switch has been in use as a basic requirement since the 70s. Next, they connected the often harsh bridge pickup to the second tone control, along with the middle pickup so you can roll off some of those highs and add some depth to your solos. Thirdly, ObsidianWire has added a Treble Bleed circuit to the volume control so when you turn it, the volume decreases in a much smoother gradient, and most importantly you won't lose your highs, so it doesn't get muddy when you wind back.
