Definitelly would recommend this to anyone with pre-school children. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent first stories to read by themselves *by A***E on 22 January 2013* My daughter (reception, aged 4.5) brought "Big Pig on a dig" home in her book bag and was very keen to read some of the other stories from the series that aren't at school (helpfully advertised on the inside page of the book!). This collection is excellent value, although a little heavy for my daughter to take to school and show off as she was desperate to this morning, and has done so nevertheless. Twelve stories featuring both long and short vowel sounds, with some tricky words chucked in but not so many that it is too much of a struggle, will last a long time. We haven't listened to the CD yet (I have asked her to read each story to me herself first), but will add to this review when we do.
