The shaft of the boot is on the slightly, slightly narrow side. So if you have a larger Calf and you like the boot tight to your calf then this is good for you. They are a bit small and the opening is small for my calves and arch. I took them to the local boot shop and they stretched them without any issues. It took about a week but it was worth the wait. Did I say they are gorgeous? The store wants to carry them and other people who have seen them love them. It is so hard to find just the right pair of solid black boots especially with the right heel and toe. These have clean lines and they are sooooo comfortable. I wore them all day without any issues.
