Yes the videos are good in their own right but the real reason to buy this is for the live gig at Union Chapel. If thats all there was on this dvd it may have felt a bit light on value but would still have been worth the money.She demonstrates her vocal prowess in more than one language with equal ease,English language songs being in the minority. But you don't need to understand the words to appreciate good music,music is more about the emotional response anyway,otherwise instrumental music would be a non starter. The undoubted highlight is her version of Screamin' Jay Hawkins "I Put A Spell On You" which leads into an incredible instrumental section focusing on the percussionists in her band. As she finishes her vocal on "Spell" and leaves the stage for a costume change saying "its time for Mohammed's solo" we are drawn into what i can only describe as "duelling drums" in the finest sense. It's a hugely enjoyable exchange between two very accomplished musicians who obviously are leading each other on to bring out the best,which they do. Simply put this is worth your money on it's own. That said the whole gig easily stands up to repeated viewing, i'm just waiting for her to do another live dvd .So why 4 stars? Simply that the sound quality leaves something to be desired on a normal television(maybe it would sound as it should on a surround sound system with a 100 speakers!). This is most apparent on the drum lead opening to "Spell" where the sound seems somewhat "dull". To appreciate this opening the way it should be listen to the version on her album "Ayeshteni", volume up and holding onto something heavy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really amazing live set *by W***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 December 2015* Really amazing live set , the drumming is fantastic and all the musicians are very vituoso ..... the DVD was not too well manufactured however , and a few blips at the start of each section - maybe a reason the price is low ..... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An artist for the future *by A***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 January 2010* In a world where pop stars are prone to narcissism it is a breath of fresh air to find someone so talented who is also so generous.Natacha spends most of her time in collaboration with other musicians and often her work is hidden in support of the likes of Jocelyn Pook or Nitin Sawhney.However collaboration allows her to place herself amongst such talent where artists can give amazing performances. This is the case with Transglobal Underground.This DVD captures the exhuberant sexiness of this beautiful woman that you only get a hint of on CD. Her sense of fun and mischievousness with, for instance, 'I Put a Spell on You' just adds to the musical performance.The appeal of her music, for me, has always been the way in which she takes the most exciting strands of new music from around the Middle East and uses this with her own material and Western standards. Whether she is singing in English, French or Arabic there is always a magical mix of world music forever present.She is a global performer who deserves to be appreciated far more. Perhaps if she had pursued popularity and fame rather than excellence in her music and the musicians she surrounds herself with, she would have the exposure she richly deserves.Go on treat yourself.
