Your body will only absorb as much magnesium oil as it needs and no more so there is no risk of "Overdosing", however, we find spraying it on your body 20 minutes before a shower or bath is a sufficient amount if using it regularly. Using this in a bath before bed time will also help you relax before sleeping. Although I can't see any real problem with leaving it on overnight this may be messy and won't let your body absorb any more oil than usual. Mix it with water in a spray bottle (I don't know exact amount but it should be on the container) and spray all over your body before you shower or bath. Thank you :)** A: If you use flakes to make your own magnesium oil, yes it does sting. It makes my skin very ichy afterward too. It does not sting in the bath. I've also made body butter with this and coconut oil, beeswax and shea butter. Great to use straight after a shower. Been using Mg oil + oral supplements now for about a month. Sleeping better and feel a bit calmer.
