My husband used to do it but he passed away. Would this make the job easier. I mainly use logs** A: I’m sorry for your loss. We find the lighter very easy to use - and no chemicals. We use some kindling With a few logs on top. Pointing the lighter at the kindling it usually bursts into flame within 3 to 5 minutes. Carry on for a count of 10 to 15 to make sure it’s caught and you are done. Good luck. **Q: Will it have a UK plug?** A: Hi - Yes - these are UK specification **Q: Would it be suitable for heating flue of wood burning stove to prevent smoke escaping into room.** A: This might work but I use this purely as per its design intent for lighting the BBQ. However I would state that the heat generated by the Looftlighter is far hotter than I have seen generated by a paint burner, so I would imagine that this tool will do the job (if it does not then you would be hard pressed to find anything else). One comment though - it sounds like that natural draught might be a problem for you, so I would make sure the flue / chimney has been swept recently, if you have already done this then a flue heater is the next logical step. Hope this helps. **Q: What is the current and power of this unit?** A: It is marked 240V 1800W ## Frequently Bought Together - Looft Lighter 1 | All-Electric Charcoal Starter | Super heated air reaches 1200°F in 60 sec | Lights all fuels: briquettes, fireplace logs, and more - Ash Pan for Big Green Egg, Stainless Steel Ash Tool Kit Ash Tool Poker Rake Set for Big Green Egg Large, for Kamado Joe, for Charcoal Smoker Wood Burning Stove - Kick Ash Basket Stainless Steel Charcoal Ash Basket, Fits Big Green Egg Grill, Large - Designed in Wisconsin --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/48913734-looftlighter-electric-barbeque-and-stove-lighter](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/48913734-looftlighter-electric-barbeque-and-stove-lighter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
