Review: Reassuringly Expensive! - I couldn’t actually believe I paid more than £50 for what is essentially a scientifically more advanced milk whisk. However I have realised, since it arrived, how it is worth every penny of its premium cost. I have owned many many different milk frothing products in the 15+ years I’ve owned a Nespresso coffee machine and enjoyed making premium quality lattes - from simple electric whisks to auto-frothing heating jugs and aerocinnos, and none of them have foamed milk to the same quality as this excellent little device. I bit the bullet and bought the rechargeable model as it is more powerful than the battery powered version and has 2 speeds, which the battery one doesn’t. It comes with 2 filters - fine and superfine. Both produce fantastically foamy milk, even from skimmed milk, that makes velvety smooth lattes that are way better than any store bought latte I’ve ever had. I prefer the smaller microbubbles produced by the superfine screen, the taste is so smooth and velvety it’s almost beyond belief. As a Yorkshireman, I’m primarily a tea drinker, but since I got my nanofoamer I’ve hardly touched tea at all - which is high praise for this device indeed. Shares in Yorkshire Tea will plunge as a result!!! I drink hot chocolate at night to limit my caffeine intake, and this too has been majorly improved by nanofoamed milk. The yum factor is off the scale!!! It’s easy to use, easy to clean and the battery lasts a good long while. I haven’t regretted buying this premium device once since I first used it, as the quality beverage it helps create is beyond anything I’ve previously had. **Q: Could this be used for matcha?**
A: Given the usually small amount of matcha tea made at a time and its low viscosity the speed and power of a Nanofoamer is probably too much. A traditional bamboo whisk is the better bet; gentle and more control. On the other hand, buy a Nanofoamer for your milk foaming for which it is designed then you could experiment with the matcha.

**Q: What is the rpm**
A: Fully charged and measured fully submerged, the Lithium spins at 4K RPM on high speed and 3k on the low-speed mode. The V2 spins at about 3k RPM when fully charged.

**Q: Would thia be suitable for emulsifying cocktails instead of a dry shake?**
A: Absolutely! In fact, we recently made a video making an espresso martini like that.

**Q: It wasn’t clear that a 5V USB-C charger is not included and I need to buy one. I’m not sure exactly what I need - can anyone help?**
A: Sure, the product comes with a USB-C to USB-C short cable, so you can use any USB charger that you have, it could be a phone charger, a multi-device charger, or anything. The device will only draw 5V, so it is safe to use with any model.

If you have USB-A chargers (with the wider USB plug), you will then need your own USB-A to USB-C cable, or an adapter.

### ⭐ Broken Impeller and poor quality

This is too expensive for what it is. Unlike how the product looks in the photos, it feels constructed out of cheap plastic, and what’s more it doesn’t naturally stand up in its case. I paid the expensive price because it seemed like the only product on the market that could fulfil the purpose of latte art on the go, but this is no longer the case (Outin have now released a similar product which is made of metal). While it does produce microfoam as advertised, I noticed very quickly that the impeller seemed to deteriorate, so I was always careful to wash only with lukewarm water and soap. Eventually it broke altogether while spinning (see photo). I had a look online, and this seems to be a common problem with the unit (they should supply a spare impeller in the box if this issue is so common, but they don’t). Since my nanofoamer is out of warranty, I will have to buy a replacement for £7, which would have been fine, were it not for the extortionate £10 shipping which means it is essentially £17 for a tiny piece of plastic. I contacted support, and they recommended purchasing multiple spare parts to ‘make better use of the shipping cost’ - clearly this is just another product with planned obsolescence after normal use.
