It protects them from the heat of the tap & bumping into a tap that is situated in the middle of the bath - We needed something to protect my little ones from the tap that is situated in the middle of the bath. This had better reviews than other similar products and so I thought I'd give it a go. It's fantastic! and the way it is designed means it could fit on so many different tap fittings (it slides onto the tap and you tighten it with a velcro strap). The kids love 'Tappy'! My 5 month old happily sits hitting the legs and my 3 year old has lots of fun giving Tappy a drink (you can pour water into the mouth), counting the legs and telling us the colours of the numbers on his legs, so a great educational bath toy too. My 9 year old thinks he's great too, as it protects him from bumping into the taps, but he is too old to 'play' with it. A great invention and has stopped all the accidents when bumping into the taps and protects them if only hot water has been run where the tap becomes very hot to touch. Highly recommended!
