Not so sure if the leather has had an application of wax on so might be worth giving them a wipe with a mild soapy cloth first. it would also probably pre dampen the shoes allowing absorbtion easier. **Q: I have a wool hat that is advised not to use in the rain. Can Liquiproof be used on wool and would it help it to become rain proof? Thank you** A: I used it on a 100% cashmere flat cap and it works perfectly (water just beads and runs off) with no ill effects.
