**Q: Can someone testify that it's worth the extra $80 to get this model with uvc (bu110) vs. the discontinued but still-for-sale older model (cv710)?**
A: It has UVC compatibility. It has no need for drivers on Windows or Mac. It is supported in newer Windoes ans Mac versions and on third part applications on Mac.

A: We would recommend the record Format to be MPEG 4 as BU113 doesn’t support HDCP.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as intended with Sony a6100 on Macbook m3 max

I used a Sony a6100 with a Camlink 4K on my PC for years, and it worked without any issues. After switching to a MacBook M3 Max for work and connecting this setup to a dock station, the Camlink 4K started having issues with flickering, occasional green frames, and an overall unpleasant experience. It only worked properly when directly attached to the MacBook. I decided to try this capture card, which works perfectly through the dock station - no freezes or flickering.
