A: I wash it by hand, but it is ceramic so should be fine in the dishwasher.

**Q: Do you always replace both Filters when cleaning fountain ?**
A: No, you don't have to. The other one is plastic and it can be washed and rinsed pretty well. It will have to be replaced eventually, but definitely not every time.
