I only tried it on much thinner fabric which was difficult. Sorry but I would not buy this item again and cannot in all honesty recommend it to anybody else. **Q: Does this singer have fabric walking feet?** A: Yes **Q: Does this have a zig zag setting for making button holes?** A: No. **Q: how is the bobbing rewound** A: Sorry I really don’t know haven’t used it yet. It's not the kind of machine that does most of the work for you as bigger machines partially do, no, with this one you are the guider and you adjust the speed at which it does the job with your hand that is holding the machine. I was going to use this to darn some socks that had holes in them. I ended up doing it by hand anyway. I gave it 3/5 because it is okay for someone who has previous experience, I don't and it was quite fiddly to get going initially. Anyway, I am selling mine on as I haven't used it as much as I thought I would.
