These reasonably do the job by just clipping them over my ear canals. They press themselves into place by their springy plastic head band. Certainly not 100% noise isolation, but a good improvement over nothing and with good ease of use. I haven't yet tried them for long periods so can't comment whether they become uncomfortable. But I only need them for a couple of hours at a time so should be OK. I think they look OK so as not to be embarrassing to wear. They look like headphones.
