The threaded sensor is an option only purchased Separately?** A: yes, just comes with a probe sensor. It comes in two pieces, the probe is mounted in the rad and then the thermostat is attached, can't remember how.I could not get the probe into the rad because of offset water veins, so I butchered an old fan thermostat, and with a bush and a few grub screws, fitted the probe/thermostat pick-up into it. Now my Derale thermostat is screwed into the original thermostat mounting. **Q: does the derale# 16795 come with any hardware** A: Yes, comes with everything you need to install. **Q: Can this be set to run the fan for a short period of time after the engine is shut off?** A: It is thermostatly controlled .
