## Description

Designed with feedback from enthusiasts - The Nixeus REVEL gaming mouse is the world's first gaming mouse with a Pixar PWM 3360 Optical sensor and 8 preset DPI settings. It's durable lightweight design and enthusiasts grade features allow for competitive PC gamers to perform more consistent and longer at their highest levels.

Review: Great and minimal gaming mouse, but not a 1:1 Sensei optical clone. - I'll give it 5/5, but only because it did deliver what it promised. I wish they had a few more features on it. Pros: The sensor is great. Assumed that going in. Tracks perfectly fine. Easy to click mouse wheel. This is not the case in Logitech mice. Sleek design with RGB to match my other RGB (trigger warning. JK too late, get triggered) Rubber top/plastic side for textures. My favorite combo. Plenty of DPI selections and good palcement. Scroll wheel feels great. A+ Mouse skates seem to be good. No issues apparent. Lightweight. Great software. However, I find it hard to keep the RGB breathing enabled... Not sure how to fix that since installing the software. Cons: No side buttons on the right. I realize this is purely personal. However, it's an ambi mouse that can't be used like an ambi mouse and i really will miss pg up/down on my mouse. M1/M2 and side buttons are very loud and tactile (think mx blue switches). The rubber coating is a bit slippery. It does provide grip tho, so it doesn't ruin the mouse. IIRC, the G403 was horrible at this. Rubber cable. While most people actually want this, I prefer not to. My mouse will always feel fragile. While not a problem for a $30 mouse, it still looms. Overall, it's the closest to the Sensei so far and I will replace the Sensei for a bit. I just wish the rubber was more grippy like my Fnatic Sensei and that it had 2 extra side buttons on the right. The Fnatic Sensei to me is still just on another level of comfort and usability. I'll be taking my Sensei to work and giving the Revel a long term try at home I'm hopes SteelSeries release a real follow up. The Revel is just simply a great value mouse and what should have been the Rival 100.
Review: Some minor QC concerns, but the mouse is light, tracks perfectly, and is barebones for serious gamers. - This mouse has become one of my favorites, but is not without it's flaws. I'll list a few pros and cons and what I think about it overall. Pros: 1. The shape is both safe, and familiar. The design is based around the Steelseries Sensei. While being a bit smaller and a hair thinner, I find that people comfortable with the sensei will have little trouble transitioning to the mouse. The rubberized texture on top feels good, although a magnet for oil, and the plastic sides are fine. I don't know how it will hold up with the texture, but I have heard the customer service from Nixeus is great. My hands are ~18.5x9.75cm and the mouse feels great in a relaxed claw grip. I think if you have hands under 19.5 the size won't be an issue, but any larger and palming might be awkward. 2. The 3360 sensor is fantastic. Pretty much a "flawless sensor," or as good as it gets for the past year and a half. The tracking is great, with no noticeable acceleration, and the latest firmware removed the smoothing. The software is barebones, but has all you need to adjust colors, dpi, and polling rate. The lift off distance is good, below 1 cd, but not as low as the logitech mice that have the tuning software to lower the LOD according to your mousepad. I have had no trouble with the lod being an issue. 3. Objective Pro, but the side buttons are further back than most mice, meaning that claw grippers like myself will have an easier time due to where we place our thumbs, however if you palm the mouse it will be a bit farther back than you are used to. 4. Weight, weight, weight. The mouse is SO light for its size that throwing it around is effortless. Some people may say that it feels "cheap" but that is a load of hogwash. Things do not have to be heavy to have quality. In fact having a needlessly heavy mouse is more a hindrance. This is definitely and enthusiast mouse for those that crave performance over flashy features and needless addons. Cons: 1. The main buttons aren't fantastic, but they do the job. Coming from logitech mice, it will be a shock to not have that snappy responsiveness and perfect travel distance, but they aren't as bad as zowie mice in terms of clicks. The switches are still omron, but the stiff shell shape makes them a bit harder to press if you're used to something lighter. After a few days your fingers adjust, and I have had no issues with spam clicking in RTS games, but if you are sensitive to pressing "stiffer" buttons then this might just not work for you. 2. The cable is not wrapped nicely like in the newer logitech mice, and because of this the cable has many kinks that won't work themselves out. I'm not sure why because the cable seems thin enough, but at the same time just wants to keep its weird cable memory. Very odd, but using a bungee or similar products might help. You could also boil the cable, or lightly use a blowdryer to straighten it out. I think companies should start doing the wider wraps, there is simply no reason to ruin a cable like this in 2017. 3. I have heard QC can be hit or miss, and scroll wheels might develop double clicks or squeak, but my unit is fine so YMMV. Overall I'm loving the mouse. The buttons may be a downgrade from my g pro, but I don't get hand cramps with this mouse and my aim seems to be better because of the slightly larger size and low weight.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best budget gaming mice on the market
*by S***R on April 28, 2018*

Out of the box, this is one of the best budget gaming mice I've ever used, and I've collected quite a few. The mouse is a clone somewhat of the original Sensei so it's a very safe ambidextrous shape that will accommodate most grip styles. I play with a palm/claw grip (20 cm x 10.5 cm) and this mouse works great for me. It is a bit low on the top hump compared to my current daily driver, the Logitech G403, but at half the cost this would be my go to option if I couldn't afford the G403. The mouse is extremely light at only 84g, which is a huge bonus in competitive gaming. The fact that you can also operate this mouse without having to download any software was also a great plus in my book as all of the DPI settings can be accessed on the mouse itself. It cycles through different colors for the DPI settings, which are found in the tiny user manual that comes in the box in very small print. Also, this mouse probably has the best feeling standard mouse feet I've ever used, and mine came with replacement feet as well. It really does glide across any mousepad I use, whether its the QcK+, Nixeus Type-R, or even the Roccat Taito. On the G403 I had to replace the mouse feet for aftermarket products because they were pretty bad. So another plus for the Revel there. My only gripe so far is that the mouse cable, although nice and thin and not braided, is still quite stiff for a rubber cable. It may have to do with the way that they package it. Points here to Logitech who never tie their cables tightly but instead wrap them around the edges of the box and thus allow them to straighten out more naturally. On the Revel, I've tried to straighten the cable out but it's very stubborn. That being said, I am glad they did not go with a braided mouse cable though because those add weight and can be even more stiff if they are tied up in the same way withing the package. Even on my G403 I replaced by braided cable with a paracord cable. All in all, a great budget mouse with a safe, familiar shape, extreme lightness, and a really smooth glide. This may very well become your favorite mouse and it deserves it.
