Dampen surface of Soft Top with a mist spray of water or a damp sponge. Shake bottle well prior to removing top. Pour into suitable container. Apply with a clean 5cm/2" paint brush using even brush strokes. Start at the centre of the cover working out towards the edge. Leave for 10-20 minutes to ensure the cleaner can work on difficult grime and stains. Commence scrubbing using warm water and a sponge, cloth or bristle brush until the cleaner begins to lather and dirt is being removed easily. Finish by rinsing off with water. Repeat the whole process if necessary. For heavily-soiled surfaces leave the solution to dry for approximately 60 minutes - the optimum time for active ingredients to work. Apply neat with a paint brush or spray bottle and leave it. If you apply the cleaners as instructed and then use a very stiff brush to work it in, then leave it for 30 minutes to an hour before using a high pressure washer to remove the detergent. I use this approach and it cleans the roof very well. You do need a good dry day so that you can apply the water proofer once the roof is dry and before there is any rain or have the luxury of a garage you can get the car into. How I used it. Hosed the roof down then applied Renovo with a brush, It spreads out quite a lot but I didn't skimp and still put plenty on. Left product on for about half a hour then filled my garden pressure pump with hot water and spraying in sections using roof bars as a guide I got to work with a soft Drill Brush attachment on my cordless drill. It lathered up well and could see it changing colour as it lifted the dirt. When the whole roof was done I sprayed the roof down again and went back over with drill brush bringing all the lather back to the surface again then left again for about half hour before rinsing the roof off. It took some rinsing off as it just seemed to continuously rinse sudds from one side of the car to the other and must of took over half hour to get it to run clear. The difference is unbelievable even though my roof looked quite good anyway. Just need to waterproof it now and it will be like new. I highly recommend Renovo over the other leading brands that I have used in the past as there is not a trace of green algae that was deeply engrained in the roof fibres which the other brands did leave behind. The other good thing is I've probably only used a third of the 500ml bottle so have plenty left for future use. I never did anything special to the roof before and it started to look a bit tired and grey. So July 2014 I bought 500ml each of this Cleaner, the black Reviver and the Ultra Proofer. The cleaner certainly took off more dirt than normal cleaning, although having paid a lot for the stuff I was probably trying harder too. The dye made it look very nice and black while the proofer made the canvas repel water like it were metal. The one thing it will not do is completely even out the crease marks and shiny bits where the roof rubs when folded. I am guessing nothing will do that. All in all a good buy.
