Review: Works a treat and cost effective! - The false nail remover i currently use is £6 a bottle and you have to use a lot so i was hoping that this cheaper acetone would be just as effective but be kinder to my wallet and i wasn't dissapointed. I wear gel polish on my nails constantly to avoid chips and breakages so anything that will aid me in the lengthy removal process is a great help. I rough the surface of my manicure up a little with a file and then wrap my fingers in cotton balls that i have dipped in the acetone and then foil to keep warmth in to aid in the melting process. I find that this process works within 5 - 10 minutes and then i am able to scrape the jellified polish away with a scraping tool. I am sure if i could wait it out for 15 minutes then i wouldn't even have to scrape! I find that removing my nails this way rather than soaking in a bowl saves product and also doesn't render you motionless whilst you wait. It also created a lot less mess than soaking in a bowl as you can just throw your wraps away and be done with it. I am very very impressed with this cheaper alternative and will 100% be reccommeding and also repurchasing myself. FYI.. ensure you use a cuticle oil (I personally like to use pure almond oil) and a good handcream after use as acetone does dry the skin out!
Review: ... product as I read on google that it was great at removing glue - Bought this product as I read on google that it was great at removing glue. I had some crystals on an item of clothing but wanted to change them for Swarovski instead as they looked better. So I looked around on Google for ideas on how to remove them without damaging the fabric. Pure acetone was suggested so I thought I would give it a go and if it failed at least I could use it for removing nail varnish. I used a cotton wool bud to lightly dab it over the crystal and then carefully peeled then off. I was really pleased as they came off no problem and the crystal remained intact if I wanted to keep them. Acetone is incredibly drying on the skin so make sure you keep your skin hydrated as I used this to remove the glue from my hands also. This removes stains off of your China, permanent marker stains, can be used to sanitize blades, rub paint off Windows and to clean your computer keyboard!! It really is a great all rounder. I recommend keeping a bottle of this as it will always come in handy. I don't use it often so this will last quite a while!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this remove shellac?**
A: Yes it does. I buff over my nails with a nail file/emery board, then soak them for around 10-15 minutes. It then scrapes the shellac off easily.

**Q: Does it remove acrylic nails?**
A: Yes it takes an hour but it does work on acrylics great product

**Q: How does this work to remove gel polish? Is it effective? There are mixed reviews about it.**
A: This really amazing and effective, you pour a little in a small dish or tray and leave your nail to soak for a few minutes and they you can scrape them off really easy with Cuticle Pusher Scraper Fingernails Polish Gel Remover with ease, not loads in it, but its the best stuff out there i have used, so you only need to use a little each time, hope this helps.

**Q: How do I use this to remove gel nails please? Do I soak my nails in this?**
A: I got instructions from Google - worked brilliantly. Put cuticle oil on to prevent drying before removal. Cover each nail with a small piece of cotton wool soaked in the acetone and wrap each nail in a small piece of tin foil. Leave for 10 mins and then remove with a stainless steel metal nail cuticle pusher scraper polish gel remover manicure which I got three for on Amazon - £1.49. No damage to nails and the manicurist said I did a great job. Much cheaper than having it removed in a salon

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Did get the nails off
*by S***F on 26 June 2022*

Bought this as I had acrylic nails which had been on for over a month and was fed up with them. The acetone worked, took a long time to get them off, probably 2 hours in total and wasn't quite ad easy as I'd hoped, but it did the job and I'm glad I bought it.
