I used it to cover my garage floor. If it's for protection in case of a fall etc then it might have limited benefit. Easy to cut to size . Also if you are going to leave it permanent or secure it I used adhesive spray . Still doing a great job in my garage. **Q: Does this have a strong bad smell of rubber or creosol, I bought matting from another company and returned it due to very strong creosol smell** A: yes it has a very strong smell .not for use inside buildings. very good for out doors works **Q: How many would I need to cover a 3x9 gazebo floor please ?** A: I don't know what 3x9 is? Is that metre, yard or foot? The one I ordered is 1.5 m wide and you can order any length. **Q: Is this rubber matting toxic to pets** A: Sorry, I don't know, but it has a strong rubber smell, so better for outdoor use. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect as an anti slip boot liner for my estate car *by A***C on 29 June 2026* I bought this to line my boot when I drop the seats in my car . It’s really been useful and made tip runs so much easier to tidy up after- Subsequently I’ve brought more for my wife’s car ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to cut . Great finish . *by M***Y on 5 April 2020* Easy to use, good quality . I covered my garage floor with it . Really good finish to the refurb I did on the garage My motorbike sits on it and no marks Although I also use a mat under the bike too. Tool boxes all sit on it..No problems. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brill for the car *by S***E on 1 September 2025* Fantastic, made boot liners with it. Nothing slides around and it's easier to vac bits off. Made drivers side car mat and 4k miles in, no sign of wear. Bit of a rubber smell at first but it soon wears off. It's heavy & I wouldn't go lighter as this thickness doesn't curl up or slide about it stays put. Spray water in and wipe off dirt. Not tested it with solvents, like if you spilt paint on it. You need a utility knife to cut it to shape and a straight edge. Heavy duty scissors for shapes. ## Frequently Bought Together - 3m x 1.5m x 3mm Checker Plate Matting - Anti-Slip Black Rubber, Waterproof Flooring - Everbuild Stick 2 All Purpose High Bond Strength Contact Spray Adhesive, 500 ml, Beige - 2m x 1.5m x 3mm Checker Plate Matting - Anti-Slip Black Rubber, Waterproof Flooring --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/48361229-3m-x-1-5m-x-3mm-checker-plate-matting-anti](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/48361229-3m-x-1-5m-x-3mm-checker-plate-matting-anti) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
