I only use them once, because there is no backflow valve. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value but a little bit of work to attach to 1/4" OD hose *by J***S on December 7, 2017* Although the description is accurate, I was not expecting a filter with such a large barb. With a cup of hot water and a little work, I was able to connect one side of the filter to 1/4" OD - 0.17 ID hose from my Tetra air pump. The other side of the filter easily connected to 3/4" OD - 1/4" ID hose to my diffusion stone. The lower price compared to the 3/16" barbed filters makes this filter worth the extra effort to attach it to a 0.17" ID hose.
