I coated them rather thoroughly, using over half of one can for the pair. I wore them a few days ago, and ended up doing more walking than anticipated and walking through quite a lot of leaves and things I rather wouldn't walk through whilst wearing these shoes. When I got home, I was surprised to see the condition they were in. I'm not sure if I was just being super careful, but this spray likely protects against dirt as well as water. There were no marks on my shoes, whereas there definitely should have been at least a small but of dirt. They were very well protected and I did around an hour of walking. I think the normal price is a bit much, as the cans aren't very big, however, they were less than £3 during Black Friday, I'll definitely be stocking up next Black Friday, I bought three of them in total. If you pour water on them, it rolls off them like water off a ducks back. The water resistance is no joke. However, as for dirt and other things, it definitely also protects your shoes in other ways too, not just water. If you use this, I recommend 2 coats. After the first one has dried, do another, that is what I did & why I believe it was so effective. If you have a pair of suede shoes or white shoes that you don't want dirty, this will definitely work. I haven't tested it a while lot, but I have a separate order, and will likely come back to review this product in more depth after I have used the shoes/product more. Review: It's does work! - I used this spray alone with cherry blossom ready wax, on my safety boots for work. I first clean and apply two coat of the ready wax. Nb allow the first coat to dry first. Afterwards I apply also two coat of the Sneaky Spray (universal rain and stain protector) also allow the first coat to dry before the second, usually 15mins apart. Yes I can say it works, however only lasted one week then I have to reapply another two more coats. I must say I do power wash my boots after work usually with hot water to remove dust and debris that build up during work, so that will dedinately reduce it's effectiveness. During the power wash, I must say water does just run off cleaning the shoes from the unwatend products and no water gets in to the shoe either, only after end of week I will notice my socks getting wet, hence why I said it only lasted a week. Pros ; * it does work * way more affordable to buy than others Cons; * only lasted a week! Before new application * not much in can (200ml) and only lasted 2.5 weeks. Which mean frequent purchase if I am going to continue. * very strong smell, you dedinately have to use this outdoor and allow to dry before bringing in side the house.
