The finger holes look a bit small?** A: Hi I have used the scissors for classes of adults and although only able to cut paper and make small cuts are comfortable to hold. Many of my clients have arthritis so find difficulty holding things. The scissors were very good value. **Q: Will these scissors cut cotton thread?** A: I didn’t try them, but they are sold as school scissors, so I bought them to go in girls’ sewing kits. I would expect them to cut thread and possibly thin cloth. They did not look like the scissors that you would buy for infants. **Q: Are any left handed scissors or are they all right handed?** A: I am left-handed, and I use these great scissors for everything I do (including embroidery) with no problems at all because they are very light and also very sharp. My best buy ever. **Q: Are the ends pointy or rounded?** A: The ends are rounded. This feature should have been shown by the manufacturer in a thumbnail picture on the Amazon page. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality and value! *by M*** on 19 April 2018* These are excellent scissors! These were purchased for a children’s group and have been used continually for almost 2 years now. One or two have ‘disappeared’ but besides that all the rest are still going strong. They have been used to cut the every craft item imaginable and have worked brilliantly! They have been used by very young ones all the way up to adults.I must add - even the box is actually still in tact! Most boxes for items like this would barely last the initial use and this one is still useable. It does show a bit of wear mind you, but it is still entirely useable and does actually look quite nice when sat out holding the scissors. The value for money is phenomenal and these come VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value scissors *by R***H on 10 December 2019* I bought these for my Guide company and they are a great set. They are a good size and nice and sharp, ideal for any craft work. They come in a handy box for storage. Would recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent value for money *by S***E on 3 January 2015* Great value for money. They are super for wee hands (and big ones!). The description does not specify if they are right or left handed scissors but lucky they work for both. A couple of pairs are a bit stiff to use but with a little bit of grease they'll be fine. For the price I paid these are great scissors and honestly a super buy. Fast and efficient delivery even over the Christmas and New Year break. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/48116124-5-star-school-scissors-with-plastic-handles-and-stainless-steel](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/48116124-5-star-school-scissors-with-plastic-handles-and-stainless-steel) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
