Once you have got that right, puff your cheeks out a bit to not leave any gaps. As for the line under your jaw: don't shave up to the edge of the template: it's not too difficult to trim a centimeter or so lower if, like me, you prefer a fuller beard. It's getting the SYMMETRY correct, left and right, that is the real strength of this device and that is something quite difficult to get exactly right just by hand. You can of course trim any remaining wispy bits by hand. A useful tool for anyone fed up with getting their beard not quite right!

I've had it for a few weeks now and its worked perfectly took sometime to get used to it, the only problem that I have is that it doesn't stay in place if you just use the mouth piece hold it in place, that or I haven't figured out how to use it properly haha. But that's not exactly a major problem; as I just use my had to press down the template around my mouth and shave with the other hand. So overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase of this product its not prefect by any means but it does what it serves to do and it saves me a great deal of time trying to shape my goatee perfectly, so it's very handy.
