I'm sure you can get cheaper knock-off papers but really, if they're a penny or two cheaper is it worth the risk? These papers are strong - they have never failed to hold the wet grounds and I confidently lift them out and bin them (no food recycling in my area). They have no flavour - I usually rinse the paper, V60 and mug in boiling water first to warm everything up and I've read you should rinse the paper to remove any taint on it. However when I've not rinsed the paper I've noticed no difference in the taste of my coffee.
