**Q: Does the notebook and black sonnet set have a solid gold nib or is it plated steel?**
A: I think it does, I ordered one and I'm pretty sure the nib is solid gold . This is the superior Sonnet. Check it on the Parker website to be sure.

A: I received a different package when I ordered this- no pouch at all.

A beautiful pen with a free flowing solid gold nib which makes any writing a pleasure. Lovely quality feel and elegant, timeless looks. Came in a presentation box which included as Parker notebook and refill which feel a little cheap but same price for the set as for pen alone. Pen comes with ink reservoir fitted to fill from an inkwell / bottle with a spare cartridge too (blue). An excellent gift / presentation box and such a lovely pen

Bought for my 12 year old son as his first "Adult" pen set and had it engraved..he kept losing his normal biro's but has kept hold of this. A nice nib for an entry level fountain pen and quality feel to the rollerball as you would expect of Parker. Have seen a notable improvement in handwriting. Would recommend again and again.
