It's got the small dovetail in the package. They are also plastic. in this case you are better off with one from china out of aluminium for $3.50 If you have a novak cut rear you need to buy 2 of the chinese ones and mill the back of the sight mount out a tiny to make the hk45 rear dovetail fit the base. Or pay through the nose for a proper novak one. I have read that others have purchased this light mount and it worked well for them. I own a Colt Combat Elite 1911, Series 80. Others report this sight mount worked on their 1911's but what they got it for was a Vortex Razor Red Dot sight. I bought a Vortex Viper Red Dot sight with 6moa dot from OpticsPlanet.com. I want to try a big red dot sight on my favorite pistol. No where could I find what sight mount fit my sight by name but everyone was recommending the MT5100 I am commenting on. They said it should fit my sight. IT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE VIPER.
