Review: Perfect - These are a perfect size for me. I can cut them exactly in half and they cover my filter slot perfectly in my cooker hood. This is my second order of the very same ones. Had others before and they don't last. There's no time limit I can set on exactly how often a change of them is needed as it all depends on what you cooking and how often. There's a printed area that when it looks kind of smudged then I change mine. There's a good set of instructions and if you follow them you can't go wrong. I recommend them highly as this is my second purchase and will be back when needed. I just hope they're still manufactured. Very easy to install all and frankly I found them excellent value for money.

**Q: Do people put the red dots side facing up (as per ‘stripe’ instructions) or facing down (as per the sheet itself instructions) ?**
A: Coloured pattern goes to the inside, its renewed when you can see the pattern on the outside bleaching through

**Q: Does each pack have two filters. Just checking as you have quantity of 1 or 2. Wasn't sure if that was 1 pack of 2 filters and 2 packs of 2filters**
A: There are two filters per pack.

**Q: I have crease and charcoal filer in one park do i use both at the same time?**
A: You only need the grease filter if your extractor hood vents to an outside wall. The charcoal filter is to eliminate cooking odours for extractor hoods which don’t vent to an outside wall.

**Q: will it fit my very old philips extractor**
A: The grease collector is available in different sizes ,though you can cut the material to fit the size of your extractor.

We've tried many different makes of filters in our cooker hood. - expensive ones and cheap ones. Some seem to do very little, others allow the grease to pass through, resulting in a pool of oil visible at the bottom of the hood fitting. These, however, do exactly what you want them to do: absorb the grease, hold it properly in the fabric, and alert you by an obvious change in colour when it's due to be changed. The actual pattern may be different to that shown in the picture, but the process is just the same. These are bigger than we need but simple to cut to size with scissors. They last well too. There are two in the pack, so you'll always have a spare to tide you over until your next order arrives (which it will do very quickly from Qualtext themselves). And who could argue with the price - they're excellent value for money.
