Minor quibble is the bulbs supplied are much brighter than the ones in the picture, so the light is much brighter than shown. Had to pay £10 for lower wattage bulbs. I bought it for my dad in his house and it's great. The two bulbs deliver a good amount of light and the canvas type material makes a nice pattern. It almost looks like rock salt or crystal.The foot pedal is also good, simple and robust.Sadly mine came with one bulb broken, it fizzled and died when I first turned the light on, but the other one was fine. I just replaced it with a spare 7W LED I had laying around. And it looks fantastic. A really nice addition to the house.It's lovely though, works best with warm white bulbs. Looks really good in a hallway as a nightlight. It looks great in my lounge, specially as I don't like main/bright lights on in the evening. The only problem I had with assembly, was that to fit the final screw onto the base I had to try and push the frame down at the same time as lifting the frame up to get the screw into place.
