I had used the Advantage II that last 1 month but it wasn't helping much, but I had stopped using for a few months because it was getting more expensive and my cats didn't go outside so figured I could stop with the treatments. The XD was more expensive but was supposed to last 2 months with the substance being able to do a better job for a longer flea cycle. When I squeezed the fluid out on the 1st cat it seemed way too much so put the rest on the other cat which made it a better bargain. It appeared effective, safe and didn't irritate them.
