**Q: Is this the same type of charcoal used in the bags to remove odors around the home and in vehicles?**
A: Yes, this is a true liquid phase carbon made specifically for water purification, but it will work well for air handling as well, to remove odors around the home, litter box etc.  One thing you will notice is that it is very clean, low dust, which you will really like when handling it.  Thanks!

**Q: can this be used in cat litter boxes?**
A: This product will be perfectly safe and effective for use in cat litter boxes.  Thanks!

**Q: What is the carbon made of?  Coal, hardwood, or coconut husk?**
A: This is called a sub-bituminous Granular Activated Carbon.  It is a very clean, coal based carbon, that is derived from a special source, not in China, with an excellent pore structure for aquarium use.

**Q: Can I use this product for water filter system for my house?**
A: Sure, that is how I use it.  Just be sure to rinse out the fine particles before you install.
