File sizes are huge at 1200 and very large at 600 and scanning times are also much longer when 600 or 1200 are selected. The default scan is 300, with three files created - standard front, standard back if the back contains anything the scanner sees, and automatic enhanced front which is often very good with older/faded photos. You can trash any of the three or save them all. **Q: Will it do two sided printing and envolopes?** A: The FF-680W can scan double-sided documents.
