I thought that it would be awesome for her to have a little faux leather journal to write in for camp.It is a good sized journal with lots of space on light brown paper to write.The faux leather is nice and soft.Has a cool look to it.The English engraved on the front wasn't translated very well but you can kind of get a feel for what they were going for: "Warm record. n year's later accidental open it warm in forever". Basically, It keeps your warm cherished memories alive for when you happen to open it in the future and relive those moments. I guess for a kid you could pretend it is code and this could be a spy journal?I opened it up just to see what the binding was like and I could see it being a little hard to write in.Overall, it is cute and interesting. It is smaller than usual, so it is easily tucked away. The faux leather cover looks very nice as do the little charms hanging from the leather like cords. Very old timey looking and will be fun to journal in. My only problem is that the engraved saying makes no sense to me.
