So when mine started misfiring, I figured it was time to stop pretending it was “just bad gas.” Swapped these coils in and immediately: Idle smoothed out. Throttle response came back. Engine stopped shaking like it just saw its ex in traffic. Fitment? Perfect. Plugged right in. No persuasion. Build quality feels solid too — not that lightweight “I hope this survives one heat cycle” energy. These feel ready to sit on top of a 20-year-old engine and handle the chaos. Now, let’s be honest — if your spark plugs are absolutely cooked and oil-soaked from 200k miles of life experience, coils alone won’t perform miracles. The 1ZZ will foul plugs fairly easily.
