## Description

In the 1940s, college student Jay Garrick acquired his super-speed abilities in a random lab accident and became the first DC Superhero to go by the name the Flash. Years later, Jay was succeeded by police scientist Barry Allen, until Barry’s former kid partner Wally West took up the mantle at a time when Barry was considered dead. But, when Barry returned, he became the Flash once again. All three generations of speedsters have been cornerstone members of both the Justice Society and Justice League.

For my first Jay Garrick figure. Pretty solid 🤙❤️‍🔥

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great figure with mildly frustrating lightning pieces

Kid Flash briefly wore this costume during the Dark Nights: Death Metal Event, and I absolutely loved the design, so when McFarlane put out this look, I decided to go for it, since his "default" look figure had a few nitpicks that made me decide to pass it up. This one looks great, with sturdy and stable joints to make him easy to put into running poses. I really like the slightly translucent red of his emblem, which really gives the extra feeling of energy. The speed force lightning also looks the part, with a somewhat uncommon "over the chest" piece the have the energy circling him; the arm and leg bolts can be a bit of a pain to get to stay in place, as their plastic "arms" like to let go too easily, and the chest piece rises up a bit too far off of the figure for my tastes, but it's nothing deal breaking at all.
