## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can bonding be used with both sim cards, and the wan port? i want to use starlink to the wan port and bond all three sources.**
A: Starlink should be able to bond with a cellular connection, but this is not recommended as Starlink may have lower speeds and higher latency depending on weather conditions and cause the connection to be slower than using a cellular connection alone.

On the other hand, you can perform traffic steering via configure the outbound policy setting. For example, to take advantage of Starlink's unlimited data, you can use it to download documents and files. And use a cellular connection for sensitive traffic like video conferencing.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For Adaptable Mobile Internet (especially in an RV) This is a great choice.
*by M***Y on January 11, 2023*

I will try to be brief: Tried a mofi unit and nothing but issues...spent the extra money and got this mobile router and it just works. Better quality. The gist of it is you can put 2 sims from 2 different carriers on each modem. The modems are a little different, but for 90% of use, we won't notice any speed limitations because we just don't get that good of service to max out the modem. You can have a total of 4 sim cards in the thing at once, it can grab a local wi-fi signal, and a wired connection like a starlink or some other broadband and you have access to any of those choices at any time, or it can switch between the best/fastest connection, or you can combine those connections to truly uninterruptable internet. We went one step farther and and have this thing feed our ring alarm pro and have everything attached through the eero router (the eero is not as fast as pep links native router) but when you only get 50mbs a sec download, the slow part is your cellular connection, not the routers. Our ring pro has a back up cellular wifi also and pings me anytime the main wifi internet connection goes out.The peplink products are just better and worth the few hundred extra. Flexibility is better, interface is better, and I have had 0 issues since using this for the past few months.Yes, this is only 4g and not 5g, but the limitations of 5g make 4g the most reliable choice. If you can get 5g, 4g is there, but if you can't get 5g, 4g is your only choice and it is plenty fast for streaming netflix and working on the computer. Once 5g has better coverage..guess what...bam..just plug a peplink 5g modem into the lan port or any hotspot from a provider into the router without having to worry. My biggest thing with this router is the ability to grab a wi-fi connection and share it to your network. That is not the easiest thing to do, but this router makes it easy.

### ⭐ Not worth the price
*by M***. on September 9, 2023*

Long story short: the product is just not that great. Especially for the price. Now I'll give it to you from a network engineer's perspective.....This device gets hot in open air and thermal throttles very poorly. If you maintain a room temperature of 74 degrees, leave this hanging from a hook to allow 360 degrees of airflow, and have two clients attempting to hold a consistent 5-10mbps throughput on Wi-Fi it will thermal throttle, cut speed, drop clients, and act like a $20 Walmart special. I was looking forward to the hardware profile and based off the datasheets this thing was going to be awesome. The LTE modems suck, the Wi-Fi sucks, and both suck even worse when paired with their 42G antenna. Don't get me started on that thing. The reviews you see have to be from people who don't actually use the internet. The UI is fine I guess, it's definitely got a DIY low scale IT guy feel to it if you ask me. ASUS manages to package a better UI in their lowest end routers.I was attempting to blend a Starlink mobile dish, park Wi-Fi, and LTE cards. I've tried using each WAN connection by themselves, set up in priority, fused together (speed fusion also is a joke), I've tried multiple firmware versions and multiple attempts to keep the hardware cool. It's just not good, especially for the price. If this were $200 I probably wouldn't have even bothered to complain about it. Don't waste your time.
