You need to use this weekly because the smell fades after a while. I'm 100% sure lavender is a true deterrent rather than just covering up the pigeon pheromones (which attract other pigeons): when I used Jeyes fluid alone it didn't work. Such a God-send.*UPDATE* it seems the deterrent effect was only temporary - or at least doesn't work on all pigeons.
