Review: Boldly goes where no wifi has gone before. - We used this is a church building with very thick walls and I was convinced we would need to cable them togther but there was no such need, The signal passes through walls of solid stone two foot thick In our prayer room upstairs, it passes a signal through meshed safety glass where previously there was not signal. Quite frankly I am amazed how powerful this kit is. We we still wire them together as we purchased the cables but honestly there is no pressing need to do so. I have no hesitation recommending this kit to boost your wi-fi signal.

**Q: Will these Mesh Units work with equipment that uses a 2.4Ghz connection signal or have they got to be 5g?**
A: they work with each out via wire or wirelessly without issues, if connecting to a 3rd party source to 1 of units in the pack then use wire to it, and wireless to the others for example, i used wire connection on all my networking gear, less issues that way, also all huawei products need to be daisy chained to 1 main unit if by wire, so 1st unit can handle 2/3/4 units via wire/wifi if they can see each other, in my instance like this using wire, the 2,3,4,5 units all synced and provisioned automaticaly from my exisiting unit as that sits with my 2 isp modems

**Q: Hi, can i run an ethernet cable from my Sky router to this Huawei router and use it as an access point in my Garage?**
A: Not sure of the answer technically, because I don't know about Sky stuff, but , my Huawei router is attached to an AX3 via an ethernet cable which then connects wirelessly to another AX3 in a different part of the house, and then my laptop connects wirelessly to the second AX3. So unless Sky do some sort of shenanigans in there box, what you are trying to do should work.

**Q: My wifi signal randomly drops to no wifi at all every so often ..is the router faulty or is there a install problem ? Currently running 3 phones and m**
A: check the led on the front of the unit is it green or red , green is a good fibre signal red is bad fibre, Make sure you are not on the same channel with other routers around you , download a wifi signal test tool free from an app store

**Q: Is this with wifi6 version?**
A: No this is the AC1300 which is Wi-Fi 5 you need the ax3000 for WiFi6

Pros: - roaming handover is smooth, you don't see lag as you move from room to room - speed is stable - setup is quick and easy - NFC tap-to-connect works great, especially with Huawei phones. Cons: - speed not that great, lower than my expectation - on one of devices, the middle ethernet port in the back is problematic, when connected directly to router with optical internet connection up to 1.5Gbps, it can barely reach 100Mbps. The other two ports are fine, they can reach 900Mbps or 1Gbps.
