I bought this to mainly protect the gun from scratches and such. The holster seems to be good quality leather, thicker leather, not thin and flimsy. It has a firm & sturdy belt clip that I can clip the holster to my belt when I need to carry it. Once clipped to the belt it is there securely. It does just pull off of the belt. Admittedly it takes a bit of effort to remove the holster from the belt. It has a strap with a snap to keep the gun in the holster. The gun fits firmly in the holster and doesn't wobble around. It comes out of the holster with minimal effort when I want it to. For me it is doing what I bought it for. I think for my purposes it is a great holster for a great price.
