## Description

ECIS (Electric Cell-Substrate Impedance Sensing) cultureware consist of patterned gold electrodes on a 0.25mm thick clear polycarbonate substrate. The 8W10E has forty 250µm diameter electrode per well. The active electrode measures from 2000-4000 cells when a confluent layer is present. The 8W10E array has 8 independent wells which are read by the ECIS instrumentation. Each well holds 600µL of media. Recommended applications include measurement of cell attachment and spreading, cell differentiation, cell-ECM protein interactions, barrier function, signal transduction, detection of invasion of endothelial cell layers by metastatic cells, and cytotoxicity.
