With its extremely low residual noise and resilience to environmental factors like heat and humidity, this microphone is a top choice for professionals seeking clarity and reliability in their recordings.

## Description

The R-121 Live is a rugged version of Royer’s popular R-121. The already-durable R-121 has been used on the road for years, but the R-121 Live’s 4-micron ribbon and increased durability gives you greater confidence in the ribbon standing up to the rigors of the road. With an output level comparable to a dynamic mic, you’ll be able to use it with virtually any FOH console--and it delivers the warm, realistic tone that only a ribbon mic can. Along with its smooth, natural response, the R-121 Live virtually eliminates the shrill high-end often associated with live guitars and brass. Push up the fader and you’ll hear the instrument in all its fullness and natural glory, minus the peaky highs that you spend so much of your time fighting. You’ll love the R-121 Live's exceptionally smooth high frequency response—go ahead, crank those highs! Your performers and your audience will both thank you!

## Features

- High SPL Capabilities
- No internal active electronics to overload or produce distortion up to maximum SPL rating
- Extremely low residual noise
- Ribbon element is not affected by heat or humidity
- Absence of high frequency phase distortion
