It does not work with Tesla Superchargers or Tesla vehicles, as it is designed for J1772 EVs only. **Q: Why does the adapter overheat while in use?** A: The adapter is rated for 48A at 240V, so it may feel warm during charging. This is normal and safe. Each unit is tested and includes built-in protection against overheating. **Q: Why does charging pause intermittently?** A: Some older Tesla Destination Chargers may have handshake compatibility issues, and certain EVs may pause charging due to internal temperature regulation. These pauses are not caused by a defect in the adapter. **Q: How can I ensure proper adapter alignment and insertion?** A: Make sure the adapter is fully and firmly inserted into the Tesla connector before plugging into your EV. Avoid using the adapter with tensioned or twisted cables to ensure stable contact throughout the charging session. **Q: Is the adapter weatherproof?** A: Yes, the adapter is designed to withstand various weather conditions, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. lt has an lP54 rating for protection against dust and water. ## Frequently Bought Together - Lectron Tesla to J1772 EV Charging Adapter – NACS Converter, 48 Amp & 250V, Compatible with Tesla High Powered Connectors, Destination Chargers & Mobile Connectors for J1772 Electric Vehicles (Black) - Lectron Electric Vehicle Charger Nozzle Holster Dock for J1772 EV Coupler Connector --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/462956174-lectron-only-for-j1772-evs-tesla-to-j1772-charging-adapter](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/462956174-lectron-only-for-j1772-evs-tesla-to-j1772-charging-adapter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
