The kung pao has a lot of sugar (so sad), real soy sauce, and a good amount of heat. Like the real thing, the korean bbq is a more subtle flavor. The pieces are thicker than many jerkies, and some are cooked more than others. If you want a very consistent texture or no chew, this wouldn't be your brand. Then I couldn’t find it anymore, they had replaced it with Korean barbecue flavor, which I don’t care for at all. So I thought I would try the Kung Pao Beef Jerky. Both my husband and I gagged when trying it. It’s very spicy hot and not a good flavor. The piece I had was pure gristle, had to spit it out. Easily the WORST jerky I’ve ever had!!! Go back to your regular pork jerky Golden Island.
