    Great book, terrible price

As with other works by Gonzelez, "History of Theological Education" was informed and informative while remaining digestable and reader friendly. For the price, I wish the book had been longer and more detailed, utilizing more specifics in the discussion of developing Christian education/practices. For the price, other works are more readily recommended and detailed though, again, Gonzalez has the ability to synthesize centuries of tedious information into a readable format. Compared to his other works, this was disappointing, but taken on its own merits, it is still a solid weekend read and I enjoyed it.

The author's unique ability to comprise a vast amount of information in a readable form open to all audiences without compromising scholarly endeavors is commendable.
