After 15 years of faithful service and hundreds of ribs, briskets, pork shoulders, hamburgers, pizzas, fish, and anything else you can grill it was time to retire. I kept my Bubba covered and cleaned it when needed. If not for little rust on the back corner it would still be going. I just fired up the new Broil-king Keg. Basically the same grill with a few key improvements to the top and bottom vents. The new vents are a fantastic addition to an already stellar grill. I can cook pizza at 800 degrees or smoke briskets at 225 for 20 hours and still have charcoal left. I was planning on β€œupgrading” to a Big Green Egg and found that for the price and the quality of the Keg, it couldn’t be beaten. It will not crack and it is easier to move around. BGE prices are ridiculous. 15 years is unheard of for a grill. I am sure this one will last at least that long. If you cook on charcoal, buy this grill. Chicken breasts come out tender and juicy, pizza on a stone is just like a brick oven and the BBQ you can make is out of this world (make sure to buy a diffuser!) You will not regret it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best grill ever, get it and you won't regret it *by on Reviewed in Canada 31 January 2017* Full disclosure, I did not buy this here because it was on sale elsewhere. But I love it so much, I have to write a review.This is the best grill I've ever experienced. I've researched the big green egg and the kamado Joe but I chose this and do not regret it.My first concern was that there is no heat deflector. But you don't need it, get it to your temperature and you can make pulled pork or ribs without any overly charred parts. No heat deflector, no water pan, but 4 hours at 250 and my ribs were the juiciest they have ever been.Temperature control is a dream. It'll take you a while to fine tune, but you can get it steady at your ideal temperature right away. Quick hint, remember to play with the top and bottom vent. You don't need them both at the same setting.Having locks also helps because you know the lid is perfectly sealed when the lock closes.The outside will stay cool to the touch even at 400 Fahrenheit. I can touch the area where the coals sit and it is just slightly warm.I could talk to you for hours about why this grill is the best, but just get it, you won't regret it. Gets to temp fast and holds temp easy. Big grilling surface. It has been better than advertised. Well built and looks to last forever. Easy upkeep. Stand and wheels make it easy to move around. Highly efficient. I have smoked for 14 hours and did not have to add fuel. ALL OF THAT AT HALF THE PRICE!.
