As in how practical is this?** A: It is D2 so pretty tough for handling most materials, D2 is known to chip under certain circumstances though, especially if it hits another metal. S35vn is called a "super steel" for its edge retention and it cuts like crazy but can shatter under stress because it is so hard(high rockwell) it becomes brittle, but if it is too soft then it is pretty useless for knives also (throwing knives are generally softer so they don't shatter). D2 is a good steel so this blade should cut as well as you can sharpen it. Practical though? Probably not practical, it looks beyond question like a fighting knife and an almost over the top one at that, and it is heavy to wear all day on your person if you are always active doing things, here in Texas you can wear a sword if you want to and walk around, the only illegal knife to carry here is a brass knuckle hybrid knife, and idk why because you can have knuckles or a dagger but can't combine their powers as one..
