Review: Trusted fine leather treatment - I bought this conditioner to use on some calf leather shoes/heels. The pictures attached are after application of the SAPHIR conditioner followed by their Super Invulner. Pros: Application requires a dime size amount, so a little goes a long way. Applied with a new chamois cloth the product melted easily into the leather and provided the shoes with a conditioned shine. The product mitigated some creases and left no color or residue on the shoes. I used this on multiple shoes (different colors) and there was little to no color transferred on the chamois cloth. Cons: Make sure to use this in a well ventilated area! I mistakenly used this in my living room and the smell was STRONG. It also permeated the entire living room until the following day so be aware. If you do not clean the shoes before application I don’t believe the product will “clean” your leather (this product is more of a condition & treatment). Overall: I liked the way this product treated the fine leather goods I have. I will use this again and recommend it to others. It’s important to invest in high quality products when maintaining luxury goods so I believe it’s worth the investment. I’ve used other treatments before and the color/integrity became comprised while SAPHIR maintained & provided my items a “brand new” look.

**Q: How does this differ from the saphir renovateur luxury care balm?**
A: I believe they are similar but my understanding is that the renovator has higher concentrations of bees wax and its focus is mainly footwear and leathers exposed to the elements. I used it on belts and watch bands with great success. I believe the renovateur luxury balm would be better purposes on leather furniture and delicate goods. I could be way off but the formulas are similar but may I think one is more directed towards footwear. Both are conditioners so it would be better to use either than none at all.

**Q: Does this weather proof the leather? Looking to use in rain and snow conditions**
A: No.  This product is not designed to repel water/make leather waterproof.  You'll want to look at Atsko Sno-Seal (for maximum work-all-day-outside-in-a-monsoon waterproofness) or mink oil paste (for daily may-get-caught-in-a-rainstorm-during-my-commute water-resistance).

**Q: is it possible to condition patent leather with one of the saphir products, if so which product, please?**
A: Don't you even think about it ! ! ! - Patent Leather is a type of leather that requires its own cleaners and conditioners. ANY product for Calf Leather is NOT appropriate.

**Q: How to use it exactly? Is it like a conditionor? What's the difference between this and the same brand shampoo? Do we need extra conditionor?**
A: You can use it as a cleaner or as a conditioner during the normal shine.But be sure to use it prior the shining to protect the leather and also can be used for nourishing. Regarding your question regarding the difference. .. this is a top brand with a more creaming finish against another brand shampoo (this product don't leave a pasty finish ).And besides you don't need additional conditioner,just a shoe Polish.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pricey but worth it!

I found this from a recommendation somewhere and decided to get it. I immediately tried it on a pair of leather Birkenstocks and Ariat leather boots. First off, it has a VERY strong smell. I'd use it in a room with some ventilation. It is easy to apply and feels like hair conditioner consistency. I used it on the two pairs of shoes I mentioned earlier and wow! The leather looks amazing and you can definitely tell it's getting the treatment it needs. My Ariat boots in particular are over 5 years old but it really helped in some of the areas I had creases. Super happy with this product.
