Review: Versatile magic arm, useful for most film kits - There are more expensive options out there, but this CAMVATE 11" magic arm is well made of metal, and holds firm when tightened. A very useful product for any film kit that is flexible and versatile, allowing mounting camera to field monitor, or microphones or small lights. Can also be used to hold other gear. Recommended. Have only used it a couple times though, so cant speak to longevity. I see nothing to indicate it will fail early as it is good quality.
Review: Easily Adjustable & Locks down tight! Outstanding! - I am a huge skeptic. When I got this I was amazed. When you loosen the red wing nut, which is made from aluminum, it loosens the ball sockets on the end as well. If you loosen it more, then you can pivot the elbow which has teeth so it is an incremental adjustment. This has the 1/4" male threads at each end. I am a pilot so one end will go into my smallrig clamp, while the other will accept a camera/video/GoPro/... (Make sure you check the depth of the threads so it doesn't bottom out in your camera and crack the camera case. Otherwise, this is strong enough to support my Lumix G85. I have bought other arms with much lesser quality. This is an outstanding product!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easily Adjustable & Locks down tight! Outstanding!

I am a huge skeptic. When I got this I was amazed. When you loosen the red wing nut, which is made from aluminum, it loosens the ball sockets on the end as well. If you loosen it more, then you can pivot the elbow which has teeth so it is an incremental adjustment. This has the 1/4" male threads at each end. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well built, but floppy at the ends.
*by R***R on January 24, 2018*

Great swing arm. Well built and solid as a rock when tightened up (the teeth along the rotation axis are very handy. But you must be careful, because it is easy to ruin the teeth if they are not well seated before tightening. Additionally. the device is VERY floppy when loose and since all hinges are dependent on the one knob, it can be difficult to adjust. Another thing to keep in mind here, is the item is solid at the central axis, but cannot withstand much weight from the end brackets. It WILL begin to droop while in use if you have any item of decent weight attached (recorder, camera, even monitors may be a bit too much).
