To begin with, the device does not support the weight of the iPad with the gooseneck extended. I suppose it would work attached to a desk with the gooseneck coiled. VERY STIFF to move around and once you get it set, it is not strong enough to hold my kindle. I have to prop something under it. I was hoping for much better.
