I live in a narrow London street with partial curb/road parking and limited charge points so had to figure out a way to charge my car safely from my house. Initially tried a slimmer protector into which you feed your cable. Turns out the charge cable is too thick for them, so that one 'rolled' a bit sideways, lifting the edges and thus becoming a trip hazzard. Then opted for one of those industrial type covers that you can run cables through under a lid, you can even drive over them. But they're too raised off the ground and someone tripped on that one. So then went with this mat. So far, it's ace.
